Have respect for your physical body and mind,
for they provide the vehicle through which you function.
Take exercise and fresh air in abundance,
eat wisely and sparingly,
avoiding sloth engendering and mind-distorting substances,
and the flesh of animals, birds and fishes.
In this way your physical vibration rate is raised
and your channels bringing you higher guidance remain open,
preparing you in turn for life on a higher level.
Respect others, as you would have others respect you.
Practice courtesy, avoiding loud or aggressive behaviour.
Be ready with a friendly greeting,
but never dominate an encounter, or prolong it unduly.
Practice reticence, allow others to seek you out.
Respect all life-forms.
A worm's life may appear unimportant to you,
but it is important to the worm,
just as yours is to you.
Observe all, and consider everything you see and hear.
Search beneath the surface.
Be open to everything and to all possibilities
but accept as reality only what you know as reality
or what your inner guidance approves.
Being thus informed,
make your own judgments,
formulate your own view as life opens up before you.
Choose for company those of good intent.
In your reading and visual entertainment
choose that which informs and builds, not destroys.
Observe the actions of people around you,
but do not judge the people themselves.
For judgment leads to criticism and intolerance,
which tempts the use of righteous force to change their ways
and ultimately to war.
Seek only to discourage or prevent
those actions which are harmful to others.
In your observance of the actions of others however,
judge the action itself,
and enrich your own life by emulating the good,
and avoiding conduct you consider inappropriate.
Use your natural talents to create and to contribute,
thus to enhance your own and the general wellbeing.
But do not seek to gain wealth by diminishing that of others,
for the general wellbeing will not thus be advanced,
and while you personally may gain materially,
you will gain the enmity of those you diminish or deny,
and society will be in disharmony.
In business and commerce,
deal honestly with others,
allotting to each a just reward,
and in whatever you do, giving your best.
Seek only a fair share, never more,
of that which Nature provides freely,
and whatever you take, take it respectfully,
always mindful of good stewardship.
Be at peace with yourself
and with those around you.
